New Publication by Ester Barinaga: Remaking Money for a Sustainable Future
Money lies at the heart of capitalism and many of our sustainability crises. Could we redesign money in ways that foster sustainable economies and more just societies? A growing number of scholars, policymakers, and activists believe this is possible — and they are making it happen from the ground up.
This book explores how grassroots initiatives, municipalities, and radical crypto-entrepreneurs are reshaping money by designing and organizing complementary currencies. It shows that their innovative ideas and governance practices may hold the key to building greener and more inclusive economies.
Offering a creative perspective on the future of money, this accessible book is intended for everyone who wants to help shape a more sustainable and equitable world.
